DECEMBER 2017 : : I cried out, The Lord Answered Me

The warfare of the enemy is seasonal; but the favour of God upon our lives is eternal and therefore the devil or his cohorts cannot hold down anyone forever.

When a believer understands the grace coverage of God upon their lives then he/she is able to stand against the wiles of the enemies because the favour of God declares and his power demonstrates which gives him the confidence and assurance to cry out to the Lord.

Psalm 56: 9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

Crying out is a form of prayer but from a deep sense of urgency and a need to have an immediate response.
Prayer is a communication tool; this tool is what man uses to communicate with a divine Father. In prayer we can
• Give thanks
• Plead
• Intercede
• Converse
Key: it is a two way communication, speaking and listening to God

Throughout history, believers have cried out, sometimes out of many years of prayer and then a single cry out brings an urgent response from God. Personally we cry out to draw immediate attention to a specific thing.

A cry out is a spontaneous response to an urgent need usually centred on one thing such as
• Immediate specific need
• It could be motivated by an immediate danger
• It could be a response to pain or hurt
• It could be response to an accomplishment or joyful act
• A reaction to heart-breaking news

***Biblically a cry out is an intense petition, response to a sense of desperation. ***

Characteristics
 It comes from the depth of the heart
 It acknowledges that we are facing danger
 We become fearful
 We recognise our need for God’s supernatural power to work
 We cry out in faith
 We need the mercy of God
 We recognise our helplessness and inability to do something ourselves.

There are powerful results from crying out unto God, because He responses to a desperate and dependent child in need of His care, attention and Power. The prophet Isaiah expresses the response of the Lord to the affection a mother would have for her nursing child and points out that even though the earthly mother may not answer but the Lord would answer to our cry out because we are the apple of His eye and He has inscribed our names on the Palms of His hands.

Isaiah 49: 15
“Can a woman forget her nursing Child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? …

***God is not human, that he should lie, not a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfil? ***

There are various forms of Crying out.
• A cry of deep distress (Zaaq-Hebrew) , At the red sea, the people of Israel cried out in distress (See Nehemiah 9:9-11; Psalm 9:12)
• A cry out for help (Tsaaq-Hebrew), Moses cried out for help to locate water the Israelites (Exodus 15:25) Blind
Bartimaeus in the book of Mark 10:46-52
• A cry out frustration to change a position, Jaabz in the book of 1 Chronicles 4:10, cried to the Lord that the lord may change his name from pain and that he may bless him and expand his territory. (See also Mark 10:46-52 for the case of blind Bartimaeus.)
• Cry out of war against an enemy- 2 Chronicles 13:15
• A cry out to be saved- Psalm 145:19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
• A cry out in fear –Apostle Peter in Matthew 14:25-31
• A cry out from affliction – Jonah 2: 1-10

Psalm 57: 2 I will cry unto God, God most high; unto God that perfometh all things for me.

Jonah 2: 2 (KJV)… I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.

Crying out to God is an act of desperation and total concentration. It is a fervent expression of faith in God, Trust in his goodness and power to act on our behalf.

In Crying Out there must be
• Genuine humility and understanding that God is omnipotent
• The heart must be broken and contrite

*** The Lord resist the proud but gives victory to the humble. ***

Psalm 9:12 “…. He forgetteth not the cry of the humble”

• Genuine Repentance and we must seek forgiveness and totally surrender to the Lord.

Psalm 66:18 “if I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will hear me”

Psalm 51: 2 Wash me thoroughly from mine Iniquity and cleanse me from sin

• Mercy of God- Lamentations 3: 22-23

Psalm 102:13 Thou shalt arise and have mercy upon Zion; for the time to favour her, Yea, the set time is come.

Psalm 51: 1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness; according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
• Must be truthful to the situation and God.

John 4:24 God is Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and truth

• Trust Him to come through and act on your behalf

Psalm 3:3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the one who lifts up my head. I cried to the Lord with voice, and he heard me from His Holy Hill.
• Faith in God’s power and resources- you must accept that only God can do what no man can do.
Jesus said with men it is impossible but with God all things are possible. When the disciples cried out in the storm, he rebuked the storm. – Matthew 8:25
• A cry out denotes desperation and a need for urgency in answer from God.

***God’s word is yes and amen in Christ Jesus***

Confirmation that God will answer our cry out:

Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me and I will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not

2 Chronicles 20:20 …. Jehosphat stood and said “Listen to me, O Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, put your trust in the Lord your God and you will be established….

Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily…

God’s response to crying out
• Elijah cried out and God delivered the son of the widow from death – 1 Kings 17: 20-22
• Jehosphat cried out and God diverted the enemy away from him - 2 Chronicles 18:31
• Hezekiah cried out and God gave him victory – 2 Chronicles 32: 20-21
• The Israelites cried out to God and He delivered them from Pharaoh and Egyptians.- Exodus 3:9
• Jesus disciples cried out to Him in a storm and He calmed the storm- Luke 8: 23-24
• Blind Bartimaeus cried out and his sight was restored- Mark 10: 46-52

***Assurance are in Him along and his promises are for then, now and generation to come***

As children of the living God, our heavenly Father appeals to us cry out to Him deliverance. Let us be quick to cry out Him with humility, sincerity and faith.
God “will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him: He will also hear their cry, and will save them” – Psalm 145:19

Hosea 2:21 It shall come to pass in that day, that I will answer ‘says the Lord; I will answer the heavens, and they will answer the earth. The earth shall with grain, with new wine and with oil…

This day may the Lord answer your cry and fulfil all your petitions before him, may He speedily declare His victory for you in the name of Yesuha HaMashiach.

Please accept our apologies if you had not received the word for a couple of months, we hope in the New Year to me prompt and timely sending it out. Remain blessed and enjoy the season.

>May the good Lord bless you and give you a net breaking testimony in the coming year in the name of Jesus. Amen

We love you, remain in faith and believe always that God has your best interest at heart.

BE THERE

November 2017

Today Receive the Eleventh Hour recognition from God and move speedily into the realms of Fulfilment in the Mighty name of Jesus.

Matthew 20: 6-9 And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle,[a] and said to them, ‘Why have you been standing here idle all day?’ 7 They said to him, ‘Because no one hired us.’ He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right you will receive.’[b]
8 “So when evening had come, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward, ‘Call the labourers and give them their wages, beginning with the last to the first.’ 9 And when those came who were hired about the eleventh hour, they each received a denarius 10 but when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise received each a denarius.

In this month whatever has being idle or stagnant, Receive divine power of the Holy Ghost to break loose and break free for divine fulfillment and increase in every areas of your life. May the Almighty Father choose to break protocol for you to fulfill your destiny. For your Shame, Receive Double Honour and glory in Jesus name.

Marriage- Biblical Perspective and God’s Participation

Some practitioners of religious rituals sometimes misconstrue and misrepresent the intent of God concerning Marriage. Some people have given much emphasis to the ceremonial event of marriage that the key purpose of marriage is lost even to the couple joined together. Others have laid emphasis on the place of the event or whether a traditional marriage is pleasing and acceptable unto God.Some try to box God’s intent and definition of marriage to the ceremonial custom of Church formalities or to the legality of the state.

The key consideration for marriage is based on the covenant before God whether it be traditionally conducted or done in a church, from the first wedding which was officially witness by God, The Bible stated that God brought Eve to Adam, he personally proclaimed before God that he was satisfy with Eve to be his life partner and it was sealed there and then by Eve becoming his wife and both were naked and unashamed before God. I believe that couples sealed by the covenant should be transparent and open to each other. (Genesis 2: 22-25)

*** Marriage is a divine, not merely human, institution. ***

Genesis 2:24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

The acceptance and proclamation of Adam upon the presentation of Eve by God was the covenant made in the presence of God.
But what is a "covenant"? In essence, a covenant is a contract between two parties that is established before God as a witness, a contract whose permanence is ultimately safeguarded by none other than God himself. In this sense, marriage is a covenant: it is entered into by the husband and the wife before God as a witness. Covenant are not to be broken as it is sealed by God.

Nearly every culture in the history of humanity has observed some kind of formal wedding ceremony. In every culture there is an event, action, covenant, vow, or proclamation that is recognized as declaring a man and woman to be married.

The ceremonial aspect is good and according to the bible, we can see from the book of John in chapter 2, Jesus attended a wedding ceremony but this does not imply that God requires an elaborate ceremony to take place before the covenant is sealed but it shows that traditional marriage is acceptable to God as Christ would not have been present at such an occasion if this was frowned upon by God.

As we know that throughout his earthly ministration he emphasised that he does as he see the Father does and till this day, the Jews still carry on in this tradition which is an important cultural heritage, but God’s presence and perspective in the ceremony is fulfilled when the groom and bride signs the dotted line in the covenant agreement which stipulates that the groom accepts the responsibility of taking care of the wife and the wife accepts the man as her husband. Covenant agreement is the key not the ceremony

John 5:19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

In the time of the patriarch, men would put their hands under the thigh of another to affirm a commitment (Genesis. 24:9). In the time of the judges, a man would remove his sandal and give it to another as a sign of an oath (Ruth 4:7). Each time and place has distinct means of signifying agreements, and it would be a mistake to label these customs “inconsequential” or “dispensable.” As in all cases God declares that we must honour our oaths and he pronounces judgement on those that dishonour such.

The marriage of Isaac to Rebekah presented another aspect of marriage ceremony which implies that the conduct of the people around the ceremony is only validated by the presence of God’s approval. (Genesis 24: 1-67). In this instance the groom’s father or the groom were not present at the release of the bride to the servant but there was a recognition of the Lord’s intent in the message the servant brought from Isaac’s father Abraham.

Genesis 24: 50-52 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, “The thing comes from the Lord; we cannot speak to you either bad or good. Here is Rebekah before you; take her and go, and let her be your master’s son’s wife, as the Lord has spoken.”

By the time dinner was served, everyone knew that this was of God, that both Isaac and Rebekah should be married (Genesis 24: 52–59). Thus, the marriage mentioned in verse 67 was hardly based on a mere sexual act. Cultural procedures and dowry traditions were fulfilled, conditions were met, answers to prayer were seen, and the obvious blessing by God was upon the entire scenario.

The Hebrew word for "cleave" at Genesis 2:24 may suggest the making of a sacred covenant, for this is the same term used of Israel's maintaining her covenant relationship with Yahweh (Deuteronomy 4:4; 10:20). When two people make marriage vows, they are making oaths not just to each other, but also to God Almighty. This is why Malachi says God is the witness that women are made wives "by covenant" (2:14). In short, one is married when one makes marriage vows witnessed not only by the wedding guests but by God himself and this why the book of Malachi also points out that He God hates divorce, for God seeks us for an everlasting and eternal relationship.

Marriage is a glorious and good gift given for God’s glory and man’s joy. It is far more than a ceremony, but that doesn’t mean that the ceremony is dispensable. Instead, the ceremony and accompanying signs are actually part of the way we portray the glory and beauty of marriage, not only for itself, but as a portrait of the greater reality of the gospel.

A biblical ceremony can be carried out in a simple, private service with only a few witnesses, or a large traditional wedding. The details are unimportant; it's the couple's covenant commitment before God and men that matters.

A man and a woman should follow whatever cultural, familial, and covenantal practices are typically employed to recognize a couple as “officially married in the place of their dwelling.

Marriage is a significant institution by which a lost world can see Christianity in action. Marriage is the most intimate of human relationships in which husbands and wives learn to model Christ’s love. Marriage provides a unique opportunity to reflect Him as a couple. Marriage provides a platform for accomplishing God’s intentions for mankind and bailing out of the covenant of Marriage is failing God.

***The key is the covenant not the ceremony. ***

We love you, remain in faith and believe always that God has your best interest at heart.

The Mystery and Power in the Blood of Jesus

Some believers call upon the blood of Jesus without the deepest conviction in their heart as to the power or the mystery of the blood thereby not gaining the desire effect or lack the understanding of the application of the Blood of the greatest sacrifice God made in order to redeem a fallen and sinful people.

Since creation through the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, the first notable spilling of blood was the animal killed by God to cover man’s shame which was exposed by sin, it was done to extract the skin of the animal to cover the lost glory of man (Hebrew 11:4) and this lost glory I believe was the eternal right of man to fellowship with a righteous and Holy God. The sin in itself meant there was a spiritual death of man’s connection to a Spiritual God.

The blood is the most potent sacrifice that can be made in any form to seek the face of a triune God and even in the demonic realm it is still consider a form of sacrifice that is worthy of satisfying the demand of the evil one (Satan).

This is why the followers of Satan are constantly seeking to kill people and animals to satisfy his hunger for ritual sacrifices of blood.

The significance of blood sacrifice was magnified in the request of the Lord to Abraham to give up Isaac, it was a foreshadow of God’s purpose to redeem the world through Christ Jesus.

Genesis 22: 2 Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you. (Read through to v15)

The substitution introduced the temporary use of animals for the atonement of sin as Abraham became the father of faith by his willingness to obey and trust God. This paved way for God’s preparation of an everlasting sacrifice through His eternal Son.

Hebrew 9:18 Therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood.

The Lord commanded the people of Israel not to drink of the animal’s blood for its life was in it and the use of it was purely a ceremonial duty for the temporary atonement of their sin but Jesus told us to participate of the drinking of his blood (communion) so that we might partake of the fullness of His glory with the Father.

Hebrew 9:7 But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people’s sins committed in ignorance

Because animal’s blood could not fully satisfy the extent of sin by man especially that which were considered serious sins like adultery, murder and intentional sins meant that the holiest of blood was needed to be shed once and for all. The shedding of the blood had a Propitiation factor on God as this allows the wrath of God to be taken away from us.

Hebrew 9:11-12 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

His blood was potent and in itself was of infinite value, because it carried His soul or life and this is the eternal life of the son of God. But the atoning virtue of His blood was infinite also, because of the manner in which it was shed. In holy obedience to the Father's will He subjected Himself to the penalty of the broken law, by pouring out His soul unto death. By that death, not only was the penalty borne, but the law was satisfied, and the Father glorified. His blood atoned for sin, and thus made it powerless.

His blood was a marvellous power for removing sin, and opening heaven for the sinner; whom it cleanses, and sanctifies, and makes ready for heaven.

By propriation the blood turned the wrath of God away from us and kept God’s gaze on the finished work on the Cross which allowed forgiveness to take place, unlike the sacrifices of animals this was temporary forgiveness and this accounted for the yearly atonement done by the priests.

Leviticus 17: 11 "The life of the flesh is in the blood" and "I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul."

The redemptive power is in the soul or life that was offered on the altar and as such the life of sheep or oxen could not do a permanent work for the sins of man as animal and man are not totally equal before God.

Hebrew 9: 24-26 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another— He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

The life of man is more valuable than that of many sheep or oxen.

And now who can tell the value or the power of the blood of Jesus? In that blood, dwelt the soul of the holy Son of God.

The eternal life of the Godhead was carried in that blood (Acts 20: 28). The diverse power in the Blood is the eternal power of God Himself. It is the blood of Atonement, and hence has such efficacy to redeem; accomplishing everything for, and in, the sinner, that is necessary to salvation

Understanding the power in the blood gives us confidence to apply it rightly even in our daily lives, the Blood of Christ the Messiah opened the grave and made a public ridicule of Satan and the sting of death which was sin, the almighty power of resurrection was exacted through the covenant in the blood. He who truly believes that, will perceive the close connection which exists between the blood and the almighty power of God. The blood bring about the redemptive power of God to enter into eternal life for the entrance is in the shedding of the blood.

Hebrew 13: 20 "Now the God of peace that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant”.

The second notable power of the blood was that it opened the doors of heaven as it was the request of our high priest before His demise that He would want us to be where He was going as He was laying down His life for such a purpose and based on the covenant of the blood.

Hebrew 9: 22 "by His own blood entered in once for all into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us."
So it is through the blood that the throne of grace remains settled in heaven. In the midst of the seven great realities of heaven (Hebrew 22:22, 24), yes, nearest to God the judge of all, and to Jesus the Mediator, the Holy Spirit gives a prominent place to "THE BLOOD OF SPRINKLING."

It is the constant "speaking" of that blood that keeps heaven open for sinners, and sends streams of blessing down on earth. It is through that blood that Jesus, as Mediator, carries on, without ceasing, His mediatorial work. The Throne of grace owes its existence ever, and always, to the power of that blood.

***THE BLOOD OF JESUS IS ALL POWERFUL IN THE HUMAN HEART. ***

The wonderful power of the blood is especially manifested in the redemptive work for us as sinners. "Ye were redeemed from your vain conversation with the precious blood of Christ" (I Peter1: 18, 19).

The word REDEEMED has a depth of meaning. It indicates particularly deliverance from slavery, by emancipation or purchase. The sinner is enslaved, under the hostile power of Satan, the curse of the Law, and sin. Now it is proclaimed "ye are redeemed through the blood," which had paid the debt of guilt, and destroyed the power of Satan, the curse, and sin.

Where this proclamation is heard and received, there Redemption begins, in a true deliverance from a vain manner of life, from a life of sin. The word "REDEMPTION" includes everything God does for a sinner from the pardon of sin, in which it begins (Ephesians 1: 14; 4:30) to the full deliverances of the body by Resurrection (Romans 8:24).

Peter made mention of the inheritance of the Elect due to the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. It was the proclamation about the precious blood that had touched their hearts, and brought them to repentance; awakening faith in them, and filling their souls with life and joy. Each believer was an illustration of the wonderful power of the blood.

1 Peter 1:4-5 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Further on, when Peter exhorts them to holiness, it is still the precious blood which is his plea. On that he would fix their eyes.

1 Peter 1:14-15 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct

How DOES THIS Power WORK?

Our faith may be strengthened by understanding what the blood has already accomplished. Heaven and hell bear witness to that. Faith will grow by exercising confidence in the fathomless fullness of the promises of God. We must heartily expect that as we enter more deeply into the fountain, its cleansing, quickening, life-giving power, will be revealed more blessedly unto us.

We know that when we have our bath that we enter into the most intimate relationship with water, giving ourselves up to its cleansing effects. The blood of Jesus is described as a "fountain opened for sin and uncleanness" (Zechariah. 13:1).

By the power of the Holy Spirit it streams through the heavenly Temple. By faith we must place myself in closest touch with this heavenly stream, we yield ourselves to it, we let it cover us, and go through us. We bathe in the fountain. It cannot withhold its cleansing and strengthening power. We must in simple faith turn away from what is seen, to plunge into that spiritual fountain, which represents the Saviour's blood, with the assurance that it will manifest its blessed power in us.

The consciousness of allowing the stream of the infinite blood to flow upon us and through us will give an enabling effect to the wondrous working power of cleansing and the blessedness of intimacy with God.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness

THE SPIRIT AND THE BLOOD.

Apostle John wrote that "there are three that bear witness on earth, the Spirit, and the water and the blood; and these three are one" (1 John 5:8). The water refers to baptism unto repentance and the laying aside of sin. The blood witnesses to redemption in Christ. The Spirit is He who supplies power to the water and the blood. So also the Spirit and the blood are associated in Hebrews 9:14, where we read, "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience." It was by the eternal Spirit in our Lord, that His blood had its value and power.

It is always through the Spirit that the blood possesses its living power in heaven, and in the hearts of men.
The blood and the Spirit ever bear testimony together. Where the blood is honoured in faith or preaching, there the Spirit works; and where He works, He always leads souls to the blood. The Holy Spirit could not be given till the blood was shed. The living bond between the Spirit and the blood cannot be broken.

It should be seriously noticed, that if the full power of the blood is to be manifested in our souls, we must place ourselves under the teaching of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8: 12-14 So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh to live according to the flesh -- for if you are living according to the flesh you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the flesh, you will live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

KNOWLEDGE is NECESSARY.

Believers must know that they have been redeemed and understand the significance of redemption and above all that the blood of redemption was not by corruptible things such as silver and gold, things in which there was no power of life, "but by the precious blood of Christ."
Believer must have a correct perception of what the preciousness of that blood was, as the power of a perfect redemption, would be to them the power of a new and holy life.

We must know that we are redeemed by the precious blood. We must know about redemption and the blood before we can experience its power.
In proportion as we more fully understand what redemption is, and what the power and preciousness of the blood are, by which redemption has been obtained, we shall the more fully experience its value.

NEED AND DESIRE.

There must be a deeper sense of need and a desire to understand the blood better. The blood has been shed to take away sin. The power of the blood is to bring to naught the power of sin.
Our desire for holiness must become stronger in us to give us an experiential power of the blood. Our heart must yearn and desire for the fullness of the revelation of the blood and have a strong desire from the deliverance from sin; for holiness and intimate friendship with a Holy God;
Our needfulness for the blood will lead us further into the knowledge of what the blood can do.

EXPECTATION.

The second thing will follow. Desire must become expectation. As we inquire from the Word, in faith, what the blood has accomplished, it must be a settled matter with us, that the blood can manifest its full power also in us. No sense of unworthiness, or of ignorance, or of helplessness must cause us to doubt. The blood works .in the surrendered soul with a ceaseless power of life.

• Surrender yourself to God the Holy Spirit. Fix the eyes of your heart on the blood. Open your whole inner being to its power.
• The blood on which the Throne of Grace in heaven is founded, can make your heart the temple and throne of God.
• Shelter under the ever-continuing sprinkling of the blood.
• Ask the Lamb of God Himself to make the blood efficacious in you.
• You will surely experience that there is nothing to compare with the wonder-working power of the blood of Jesus.

The application of the blood during communion is an expression and reminder of the redemptive work in the new covenant in the blood of Jesus Christ. The mystery and power can be experienced if we allow the significant of the finish work of Christ to flow in us through the Holy Spirit.

We love you, remain in faith and believe always that God has your best interest at heart.

July 2017: A season and a Time

Prophetically seven signifies the number of completeness and perfection (both physical and spiritual). It derives much of its meaning from being tied directly to God's creation of all things. According to Jewish tradition, the creation of Adam occurred on October 7th, 3761 B.C. (or the first day of Tishri, which is the seventh month on the Hebrew calendar).

There are 7 days in a week and God's Sabbath is on the 7th day which is declared as a day of rest according to the commandments.

In the book of Hebrews, written by the apostle Paul, he uses seven titles to refer to Christ. The titles are 'Heir of all things' (Hebrews 1:2), 'Captain of our salvation' (2:10), 'Apostle' (3:1), 'Author of salvation' (5:9), 'Forerunner' (6:20), 'High Priest' (10:21) and the 'Author and finisher of our faith' (12:2).

Jesus performed seven of His miracles on God’s Holy Sabbath day.

Like the Old Testament Passover lamb, Jesus was selected as the Lamb to take away man's sins on the Hebrew day of Nisan 10 (April 1, 30 A.D. - John 12: 28 - 29). He was crucified on Nisan 14 (Wednesday, April 5 in 30 A.D.). His resurrection occurred, exactly as he stated, three days and three nights after he was buried, which was at the end of the weekly Sabbath day that fell on Nisan 17 (seventeen symbolizes victory). Nisan 17 was also the eighth day, counting inclusively, from the time Christ was selected as man's sacrificial Lamb. All this bears record of Jesus' perfect sacrifice and His complete victory over death.

The sun and moon were created to give light to the earth, to separate day from night, and serve as signs to mark seasons, days and years. Time, is a temporary interruption in eternity. It is a commodity that can neither be bought nor sold. The only thing you can do with time is use it. If you don’t use it, you lose it. If time doesn’t work in your favour, it will work against you. Time and seasons are instruments of measurement, assessment, planning and perfection. Time is an effective tool in the hands of God in planning and executing his plans. In time, everything that has a beginning must have an end. If God did not create time and seasons, there will be no end to terror, sickness, disease, misfortune, misunderstanding, quarrels, poverty and illiteracy, failure and disappointment, corruption and wickedness. In fact, there will be no end to evil.

Dictionary Definitions: A season is a division of the year or Period of the year marked by particular weather patterns and daylight hours, resulting from the earth changing position with regards to the sun.

Time is the part of existence that is measured in minutes, days, years, etc. Or this process considered as a whole.

Daniel 2:21 ISV “It is God who alters the times and seasons, and he removes kings and promotes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. “

Change is the greatest Challenge of our time. One thing is certain, the Scriptures make a distinction between the “temporal” and the “eternal.” Paul says that the things that are seen are “temporal” but the things not seen are “eternal” (2 Corinthians. 4:18)

God created all things, season and time, the season are in place and they are appointed to start and finish at a set time. In these season there are bound to be things that will die and some that will come to life, for they have been appointed for such to happen at that period. There is a season to sow and there is a time to reap a harvest.

***Therefore the most powerful realities on earth are seasons and time***

When a sower sows in a season, he is expecting and believing nature to play its part and watches over the seed by nurturing and tendering to the grounds on which he planted. Nature is God’s impute and the germination is entirely in God’s ordered time.

Jeremiah 27: 5 I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are on the ground by My great Power and My outstretched arm, and have given it to whom it seemed Proper to Me.

The time of birth is entirely in God’s time, pregnancy may be know, but the labour period and precise time of birth is of the Lord. Some delay in someone not being able to give birth can be of the Lord. Hannah’s lack of pregnancy was of the Lord.

1 Samuel 1:5 But to Hannah he would give a double portion, for he loved Hannah, although the Lord had closed her womb

***May the Lord consider you worthy of the works of His hand***

But season cannot withhold a timeless God, as in any season God can make the impossible possible. In a season where some are experiencing famine, God can choose to bless you. Isaac was blessed at a time of Famine.

Genesis 26: 1 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham….

Verse 2 And the Lord appeared unto him and said .go not down to Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of

Verse 3: Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee and bless thee...

Verse 12: Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.

Also check out the story of the man at the pool of Bethsida, he sojourn at a city that that was called beautiful, a place of mercy and favour, he was not favoured for 38 years and every season he kept expecting and trying that he might get into the pool but it was impossible but what was impossible for him became possible when Jesus stepped into the situation, It was out of season for the angel of the Lord had come and stirred the water and had left, But when God came the season did not matter for it was his set time for a miracle. His long awaited miracle. (John 5:1-8)

***This is your appointed time to receive an usual miracle ***

Hannah has been going to Shiloh for a long time but this year was different, For divinity had now decided that it was her time to conceive, so this time she cried out with a vow, and she was given a set time of favour and she gave birth to Samuel

1 Samuel 1: 19-20 Then they rose early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord, and returned and came to their house at Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her. So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the Lord.”

Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

Hear this Abraham and Sarah were both out of season, but the Lord proclaimed a set time for Sarah to give birth and at the appointed time Sarah delivered Isaac.

Genesis 18: 13-14 And the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”

Genesis 21: 1-2 And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

***Time is of the Lord. He is the only one out of time and always in Tim***

Tomorrow at about this time you are coming into your miracle, you are going to be favoured, there will be no more delay to your expectation, and no more timeless visit to your Shiloh for this is your appointed time. Your set time is now receive and begin a season for glory, for honour, receive grace to excel. Begin to be dignify, receive perfection, receive grace to outperform your enemies, Receive Financial breakthrough, May your land begin to yield to it full strength in Jesus name.

WORD CREATES LIFE AND MIRACLES, SPEAK YOUR MIRACLE INTO EXISTENCE TODAY

Isaiah makes me realise that you can speak to the heavens and earth, so prophesy to this land let it begin to favour you in the name of Jesus

Jeremiah 17: 7-8 Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

There are times we must go against what we see in order to achieve what God’s purpose is for our life. We need God’s wisdom and trust and obedience to start turning things around.

Proverbs 8: 12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

Those that receive of the Lord must also follow some basic principles

You must be in the time Zone of God, seeking His face in the situation,
• You must be expectant
• You must be obedient
• You must believe and have faith
• You must be trusting
• Write it down for it is for an appointed time.
• You must be knowledgeable/ seeking knowledge for they discern the season and the time by study
• Make Wisdom is the principal thing.
• You must be persistence seeking to do something, (the man never stop going to the pool side)
• You must be ready to go against the grain.
• Examine your Attitude, Your attitude determines you Altitude

• Develop sensitiveness to God’s way

April 2017: Servanthood of Jesus Christ

Genesis 2:15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and keep it.

The fellowship of the saint which is the church can be said in these days to one of the places where the Lord has given us to cultivate and nurture, therefore we cannot be found wanting nor negligent in the duty God has given us by nor participation in the growth or vision of the Church. We are to grow the Church till the coming back of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord is the rewarder of does who are obedient to the work which invariably includes our service, worship, behaviour within and outside of the body of Christ.

***God Cannot be mocked and He see the work of our hands even in the darkest of our closet which is our heart***

Service is a hallmark of our faith. The founder of our faith Jesus Christ (Hebrews 12:2) said of his own life that he came not to be served but to serve (Mark 10:45). His life was a daily reminder that he surrendered the glories and the riches of heaven to come here and serve mankind. He did not seek his own will but that of his Father who sent him (John 5:30). His apostles, from Peter to Paul, were servants. The example of Jesus, his apostles and early disciples was one of service.

***Service is a Part of our Worship and Duty***

Serving others is the very essence of ministry. All believers are called to ministry (Matthew 28:18-20) and therefore, we are all called to be servants for the glory of God. Living is giving; all else is selfishness.

Philippians 2: 1-4 Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfil my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

Our working within the Church helps those among us to see by example the importance of serving in the fellowship and also encourage them to be a partaker in kingdom building, the essence of the Church is to build up the saint for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 20:35 In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’

Servanthood life is a lifetime of giving

Servanthood is an attitude exemplified by Christ “who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant”

Philippians 2:5-7 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.

Matthew 20:28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

***Service is Key to Kingdom Reward***

When we are prepare to do the lowly jobs of serving others and giving our time and self for others only looking unto the author and finisher of our faith as the ultimate rewarder then we will be lifted up and exalted.

Jesus lowly stature in His coming confused so many Jews that they missed the mark as they were expecting a messiah in the David’s linage that will come with all the pageantry of a befitting King whose kingship will have a strong army to help defeat the Romans occupiers of their territories at the time and that they did not see the glory of the Father, nor understood that the kingdom of God was being established in their midst.

The servanthood attitude of Christ Jesus did not fit their perception of the messiah but clarity for His messianic title and kingdom was seen by the prophet Daniel in 7:13-14 (Son of Man used 90 times in the Bible)

His pre-eminence, dignity and authority was stressed in the following Luke 6:5; John 6: 62.

To further demonstrate the example of servanthood to his disciple, Jesus stood so low as to wash and anoint their feet as in John 13: 1-17, this was also address those seeking position before service among the disciple, it illustrated the perfect heart of our Lord Jesus to towards serving us His subject, He demonstrated that in the kingdom of God, it is the reversal of role that gives us honour before God.

Today
Where is your Servant heart, what is your attitude in the body of Christ, are you seeking notice before you serve, Pause and take an inward look at your motive to serve within the body of Christ now.

Attitude of a Servant King
• Compassion
• Care and a burden for others need
• Denial of self for the glorification of God
• Humility
• Meekness

Serving is not meant for show-off or for people to start singing our praises but we are to do it in reverent to our God as was point out in Matthew 23:3, 5 when Jesus was addressing the crowds and teaching them about the hypocrisy of the Scribes and Pharisees and how they do their deeds in order to be noticed and admired. Jesus condemned this act.

1 Peter 5:2-3 Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock

People are supposed to notice our good works because our good character permeates them, not because of our attempt to have them see how "good" and "great" we are. The former is humility. The latter is prideful and wrong.

The Apostles followed in the Character of Jesus by considering themselves as servants because they were taught by him that he who wants to be the greatest must first serve others.

2 Corinthians 4:5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.

Philippians 2:8-11 And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

General Bruce C. Clarke, USA, Ret- “Rank is given you to enable you to better serve those above and below you. It is not given for you to practice your idiosyncrasies”

1 Peter 2: 16 ESV Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.

Hindrances to Service
• Self-exaltation- And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. (Matthew 23:12)
• Position Seeking -Those who desire to be great in God’s kingdom must be the servant of all (Matthew 20:26).
• Praise seeker - greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’ (Matthew 23:7)
• Prestige consciousness -They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, (Matthew 23:6)
• Power grabber- They lord over them (Mark 10: 42-45)
• Pride- God resist the proud (James 4:6)

Principle: No matter how bad things are going for us, we have no excuse for not serving others.

May the Lord today grant you a serving heart in the might name Of Yeshua Hamashiach.

February 2017: The Wisdom of Preparing for Glory

Wisdom is the principal key and its application gives glory to God and Man

Wisdom is the application of knowledge and it was a vital tool to Jesus ministry, for His famous saying was “I do as I see my father do”. He understudied God and apply such wisdom in His earthly realm ministration, He had divine revelation and applied it graciously all through his sojourn on earth and that meant that he was never surprised. He stayed in tune with the source of his wisdom.

Dictionary Meaning: the ability to use your knowledge and experience to make good decisions and judgments:

***Wisdom seeks knowledge and gain understanding***

This was a revelation that Solomon also caught that his only request to God when he became King was that God should give him wisdom and by so doing he acquired wealth beyond his own imagination. (1 Kings 3: 1-15)

Proverb 3: 13-14 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding; for her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, and her gain than fine gold.

In preparing to established the earth, one would observed that the Spirit of God first hovered around the surface, that was the Lord examining and surveying, taking Stock and analysing the best form of possible action, then the Lord spoke which denoted He took action by pronouncement that “let there be light” releasing a power of performance, first thing first the Lord prioritised Light to be important for darkness was over the surface, there was a need for light which brings about visibility and it overpowered darkness. By this, order and procedure was set in place for delivery of every other thing that needed to take place. Wisdom of planning gives foresight and focus on the end goal.

Genesis 1: 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Proverbs 3:19-20 The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding He established the heavens; By His knowledge the depths were broken up, and clouds drop down the dew.

In the second stage we will observe that God saw that the light was good, God began to identify and prioritise things and saw that light was essential and that light had taken darkness into the shadows then God initiated the separation of light, light became the essential commodity that brought life. When you receive light into a situation, clarity sets in, Wisdom begins to propel you to achievement.

Genesis 1: 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.

Life is perceive to come of God’s wisdom, for he ordained all things through careful preparation and understanding. That is why it is said the wise shall rule the world, wisdom allows you to be prudent and careful, and it gives you ability to think before you react. God went through the stages of creation because He started well by following procedure and He applied principles of order and systematic approach of doing first thing first with the end goal in mind. God’s end goal was the creation of man, but He took decision of putting everything else in place before He created man in His image. God did a research of the situation by hovering in the Spirit and compiling information that led to making accurate decision regarding every stages of creation.

Luke 14:28 NIV Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?

Wisdom allows for advance thoughts and pre planned solution which God had put in place even before the fall of man, He had prepared the sacrifices necessary for the redemption before eternity. God has made man in his image but had not given him the fullness of his ability to think and reason totally like him, so that man does not have the capacity of God’s wisdom. God gave man freewill to seek Him and worship and that man should partner with Him to achieve goals in life.

Proverbs 21:5 The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.

***Knowledge is key and powerful***

God’s wisdom of planning is always ahead of man, a typical example can be found in the dialogue between Prophet Elijah and God in 1 Kings 9: 9-18 when Elijah in his own knowledge believed that he was the only prophet left for the people of Israel and God’s response was “I Have reserved for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal”

***The ways of God are past finding out***

God’s ability to make provision abound should easily be noted in this exchanges so when we presumptuously believe in our ability, we might be set up for correction if we do not seek the Lord’s Counsel in every stage of planning for glory. For a man’s heart might plan a thing but it is God who establishes and bring it to pass. Where man’s will, knowledge, wisdom expires that is the beginning of God’s wisdom for He is the father of all Wisdom and the bible makes us realise that the Lord uses the foolishness of this world to confound the wisest of the world.

Romans 11: 33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

James 1: 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

***Wisdom empowers you***

The ant colony demonstrates the wisdom of preparation and advance planning as all through the summer they gather and store their food away for winter without a distinctive leader among them and not only that they tackle obstacles and make rooms for unseen circumstances taking on items five times their sizes. This can be liken to the time of Noah, when the master planner Jehovah El Shaddai, Jehovah Elohim told him to gather food enough for the Journey on the Ark in Genesis 6: 21.

Proverbs 6: 6-8 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

The parable of the ten virgins is another illustration of how we should be prepared for the coming of our glory, five of the virgins exercised wisdom and were prudent enough to make sure they were prepared for the inevitable by bringing along extra oil for their lanterns and as such they were able to meet the bridegroom even though he came late and the others missed out because of lack of planning and foresight in preparation. (See Matthew 25:1-13)

Proverbs 27: 12 NIV “A prudent person foresees the danger ahead and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.”

***Preparation is key***

There is wisdom in planning for seed time and harvest time, when the seed goes to the ground, there is expectation of it germinating to a good harvest, but the farmer does not leave this to chance, for he waters, tend its surrounding, keep away infectious insects, nurture until that which has gone in as a seed into the ground brings forth many of its kind and he does not plant maize in the season when he should be planting apples. In many seasons of time, he had understudied the circle of planting the right crop at the right time and he understands the seasons of the weathers and their contribution to his harvest time. In other words he appreciates God impute to his crops.

Our contribution to attaining glory is to study (2Timothy 2:15) which gets us to place of approval with God. Basically, if we don’t prepare, we aren’t approved. The Scripture portion that exhorts us to be instant in season and out of season (2 Timothy 4:2) is really telling us to be prepared at all times.

Isaiah 28:29 NIV All this also comes from the Lord Almighty, whose plan is wonderful, whose wisdom is magnificent.

Proverbs 4: 7-9 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honour, when you embrace her. She will place on your head an ornament of grace; a crown of glory she will deliver to you.

Joseph in all his sojourn in the wilderness of life not only had the ability to interpret dreams but also acquired divine wisdom which he applied to the interpretation of Pharaoh’s dream by giving the solutions to deal with the lean years ahead, which was what prompted him to be made the second in command in Egypt. He showed Pharaoh the diligence of preparation.

Genesis 41: 34-36 Let Pharaoh proceed to appoint overseers over the land and take one-fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt during the seven plentiful years. And let them gather all the food of these good years that are coming and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it. That food shall be a reserve for the land against the seven years of famine that are to occur in the land of Egypt, so that the land may not perish through the famine.”

***Two things we need to prepare for: Life’s Challenges (Winter) and God’s Blessings (Harvest). ***

Before we can reap the harvest, we need to prepare for the harvest. God wants to bless you, BUT God might not bless you until you are ready

Proverbs 31:21, speaking of the virtuous woman, says, “When it snows, she has no fear for her household.” Why? SHE HAS PREPARED

***Preparation is key to Glory***

What efforts we input gives us opportunity for greater things with God and this was the lesson Jesus passed across in the story of the servants giving various talents by their master but the one with the least talent instead for preparing for glory decided to bury the one talent given to him with no yield to any interest.

“Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things” (Matthew 25:23). You can build your life on this spiritual principle: In order to get in on the big things, we must first learn to be faithful in the little things. Jesus also said… “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?” (Luke 16:10-11). What’s He talking about? He’s talking about preparing your heart, your soul, your life for the blessings God wants to send your way

Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

God wants to bless you in this season but how prepared are you, what effort are you putting in personally, how prepared for glory are you?

Note: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

Jesus was prepared for the fulfilment of his mission on earth and his actions and responses to His disciples shows that every little details have be thought of before eternity which is why He was confident that the upper room will be ready and prepared for his final fellowship with them. He was also confident that the Lord will glorify Himself in him by raising Him from the death and giving him a name above any other name for His obedience and commitment to the task the father had set before Him. Jesus Christ knew the plan to provide redemption for all of mankind long before leaving heaven to carry it through. He was prepared for the glorification

Mark 14:14 Then he will show you a large upper room, furnished and prepared; there make ready for us.”

***Wisdom gives insight***

God obviously expects us to prepare for glory. He has given to us a number of clear principles along with some great examples. He makes it clear that we are not to trust our own plans and strategies and ignore the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is only after we seek the heart of God and His direction that we can establish plans that are pleasing to Him and plans that will bring us into glory.

We pray that the God of all wisdom will grant you wisdom knowledge and understanding above all things in Jesus name. Amen

Many people call themselves Christians or to use the expression “followers of Christ” but when it comes to the crunch test they are not able to stand due to various reasons such as faithlessness, they have no personal relationship with Him, their Christianity is lips service, they have not imbibed the full knowledge and grace they have in Christ and thereby lack the power to operate in their full calling.

Note: Majority may fall into the categories of not having fully imbibed their full identity in Christ, the Disciples of Christ also experienced such at various stages of their walk with Christ.

***How well do you know Jesus that demons will see you and flee? ***

What identification card do you carry about in the kingdom, for if your identity is not fully in Christ and God is not your Spiritual Father, then you will be in for a shock as the sons of Sceva found out when they encountered a demon possessed man. Seven prophetically and spiritually stands for the perfection of God but it can become imperfect by using flesh for Spiritual matter. Sceva mean tool or implement and God had purposed to use them as they were from the linage of the Levite. Their father was a priest but they fluttered because they went into a ministry they were not assigned to by God.

Acts 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?

This above question was asked of the seven sons of Sceva by an evil spirit and because they were not fully rooted in the understanding of the gospel, they based their faith in Paul’s use of the name of Jesus instead of their knowledge, experience or relationship with Jesus himself due to their observation at a previous meeting where the Apostle had performed miracles through the name of Christ Jesus.

Acts 19: 11-14 Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.

***Identity is key and powerful***

Whenever you don’t get the full understanding of how a man got blessed and you ask for the same blessing without going through the process of seeking the behind the scene sacrifices, you are bound to fall victim of errors and you are prone to failure and shame as was the case of the seven sons of Sceva.

Acts 19: 16 Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

*** Empowerment is Key***

They were aware of Apostle Paul using the name of Jesus but had no knowledge of how he became connected to the gospel of Christ or how he was empowered to do what he did nor his relation with Christ. His transformation and constant reliance on the Holy Spirit empowered him. He was confronted on the road to Damascus and converted personally by the Lord Jesus. A child can only defend his identity freely depending on his relationship with the father and Paul had gone through a transformation with his encounter near Damascus and the Revelation of the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

***Experience and Relationship are keys***

Acts 9:3-6 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”

So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

The initial starting point is the development of a relation with the Father and Christ, what is the depth of that relationship and what is your knowledge of the word of God, we must bear in mind that even Satan knows the word and he used this in the temptation of our Lord Jesus Christ and as he said in the book of Job, he goes to and fro to see who he can accuse before God.

Job 1: 6 ….So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”

From Job experience, if his faith was not strong in the Lord and had no understanding of God past deeds, he would have failed the test of faith and surely the relationship with God would have been tarnished.

The disciples at the initial stages of their relationship with Jesus did not fully grasp their full identity in Him, at times they struggled with issues they could have dealt with themselves such was recorded in Mark 9: 14-29 as with the boy with the spirit of fit and Mark 4: 35-41 as in Jesus calming the storms also the feeding of five thousand and it took them about two and a half years with Jesus before Peter finally identified him as the son of God and even as of that Jesus immediately rebuked the Spirit of Satan from Peter when he tried to sabotage his mission on earth. Doubting Thomas was the First to call Lord after the resurrection. Apostle John was the first to believe in him after resurrection.

Matthew 16: 16 -19 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

It can be an identity crisis that causes people not to be able to stand against the wiles of Satan because they had not fully imbibed their identity in the kingdom.

Matthew 16: 22-23 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!” But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

We can go to school but if we don’t allow the values of the institution to pass through us, we might end up qualifying as an educated illiterate, same way, one can be a Christian and still be a powerless Christians.

***Revelation is Key***

The disciples were with Christ but there were instances, they excised doubts, unbelief, they acted faithless and sometime gave way to be used of Satan and on occasions they were powerless until they arrived at the stage where they finally got the full revelation of who Christ was. The apostles came into the fullness of this grace and started operating in their ministry after they witnessed His resurrection and their eyes of understanding was opened and the revelation became clearer to them.

This enabled them to step into full authority and their identity in Christ made them bolder and they were able to use the name with their experience and walk with Him, they became confident because when Jesus spoke about his resurrection, they did not understand until he proved it to them and became the first fruits of those that will rise from the death. This affirmed to them his divinity and boosted their new identity. The covenant of the blood is real and the depth of believe increased their faith and trust to use the name of Christ.
Before the resurrection, they had gone to their various work and were dejected, the evidence persuaded them to come out of their shell and began their ministry.

John 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

And 2 Peter 1:3 says, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

If Satan can keep a Christian ignorant or in unbelief about who they have become and their rights as a child of the King, he can keep them in bondage even though the law of liberty in Christ Jesus has been put into effect!

And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

***Your Experience of Jesus has to be real to you to operate boldly in the Kingdom***

2 Corinthians 4:6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

***Revelation is Key***

Ephesians 1: 17-21 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

Revelation is important and until one experience a personal revelation of the truth of the cross, one might not be able to understand the potency in the name of Jesus and relate to it as their weapon of defense. God is righteous and just, that was why there was a need for atonement for sin and Jesus paid the price so that the Father might act on our behalf at the mention of his name. The price paid is priceless because you are being wonderful made in his image.

***There was an exchange on the Cross for our sake***

There was a story of a man of integrity who trained his children with sound education and was constantly drumming into their ears the importance of integrity, keeping a good name and be at best behaviour with all mankind. He was not wealthy but was diligent, hardworking and when he passed away he did not leave his children much in physical wealth.

This made the children angry and determined not live like their father, but there came a time when the eldest daughter applied for a job and had to go for an interview, at the interview of the panellist asked her for surname and from her reply, he further enquired who her father was and it so happen that her had employed him without requesting for a bribe but solely on his credentials and integrity. This act of her Father got the position she immediately evaluated to from a family with honour and integrity.

When the post of the District Controller became available, she was unanimously elected and given the post based on what the father had done within the organisation until she rose to the post of CEO of the whole organisation, before then she had gotten the revelation of values and integrity and had begun using them herself, this brought her to tears and she vowed to be that person the father has always preached about.

***Jesus has made us the Children of God***

Colossians 1: 15-18 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Your perception of your identity in Christ Jesus gives you the boldness to use His name and the authority of God. When you come into your real self in Christ and the fullness of His glory starts working in you, then you can speak to mountainous situations, tell demons to flee and take authority. For who is in you is greater than who is out there.

Ephesians 3: 16-19 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

***To see yourself in the reflection and power of Christ, One must look in the mirror of the word, remain in Spirit and be truthful then God’s word will reveal who you are and the limitless potentials in Christ. ***

James 1:18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

***The living spring water flows from within through the power of the word***
