November- December 2016: Essential Ingredients of Jesus Prayer Ministry

The disciples recognised the importance of prayer in the kingdom and out of all the things they most wanted was for Jesus to teach them to pray as in Luke 11: 1-4. Jesus’s ministry was enhanced with his prayer life and the importance of this was reflected in the amount of times he spent praying despite the fact that he was fully divine and also fully man. He understood the very essence of feeding of the Father constantly and knowing the heart of God concerning every issue or steps He was about to take on earth, He said I do nothing except as I see my Father does and even after achieving things on earth he continued in prayers. Prayer gives us an insight as to what is about to happen and also prepares us for the outcome. Jesus was a man of Prayer.

Matthew 14: 23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there

Genesis 18:17 The LORD said, "Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do,

***Prayer is key*** ***Prayer is Relational***

Prayer is a relational tool used in communication. Communication is a two way dimensional tool of conversation which includes talking and listening to receive. Prayer is a powerful tool that helps to reveal the heart of God, it brings you to close proximity with the Almighty Father and gives insight to the depth of spiritual matters, it is a weapon of warfare against the enemy and as such the enemies does all things possible to stop our prayer life. When we have the love of God at heart, we will have passion to commune and develop the relationship through prayers. Jesus spent secluded time with the Father in prayers.

***Location is key***

Luke 4: 42 Now when it was day, He departed and went into a deserted place. And the crowd sought Him and came to Him, and tried to keep Him from leaving them;

Luke 5:16 So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.

Matthew 6: 6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly

*** Love is Key***

Martin Luther once said I have so much to do in the day that I need 3 hours prayers to see me through.

Kingdom doors are open by using the right combination keys, Prayer starts from our believe system, for those that must come to God must first believe he exist and he is the rewarder of those who diligently seek him. Jesus exercised believe in his prayers and that is the reason he constantly sought God’s presence for all of His actions on earth. Praying can be in the form of asking and waiting on reply, it can be seeking the will of God and we can keep knocking (praying without ceasing) until the door is open.

Matthew 7: 7-11 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Jesus explained that from a parental point of view that a father would not resist the request of his child but rather would make every effort to honour the request. It should also be noted that sometimes a father does not grant all request if such request would be detrimental to the child. Charles Spurgeon said “You may not always get what you ask, but you shall always have your real wants supplied.”


***Believe is key***

John 5: 24 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life…… but has passed from death into life

John 11:41-42 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.

***Jesus exercised believe even at the start of his prayer***

The Lord deals with the intent of the heart and prepares to meet us at the point of our prayer relationship, once the heart desires to pray it sends a signal to the heavenly realm to our father with our intention to commune and things begins to happen in that realm but we must bear in mind that the enemy of our soul also prowls about and can sometimes pick up the signal of fellowship, and begins to plot to block, disturb or causes hindrance to frustrate our prayer time. (Best friend calls, T.V programs, Family issues, personal issues, project time and many more). These are distractive devices of the enemy to delay or keep our mind off the fellowship time with God. We need to be disciplined to avoid missing the orchestrated timing of the heavenly realms. Jesus had a disciplined life of praying and often go away in order not to be disturbed or interrupted.

***Discipline and Timing are keys***

Jesus demonstrated all through his ministry that prayer requires our action to bring it to pass by praying at every given opportunity and engaging the Holy Spirit from his prayer at his Baptism till the death on the cross, he prayed as though it all depended on God but acted responsibly and obediently as though it depended on him.

John Wesley- “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can, like Jesus, we pray as though it all depended on God, but act responsibly and obediently as though it depended on us.”

Jesus prayed to solidified his relationship with the Father, worship, to present prevailing circumstances to him, thanksgiving, supplication, seek the will of the Father, intercession and in praying Jesus made us realise that God’s will surpasses all things we may make request for, the outcome is determined by Him for his purpose, Jesus prayed fervently with an outcry at the Garden of Gethsemane but in His last prayer he requested that the will of the Father be done.

***Prayer helps understand God’s will concerning a situation***

Matthew 26:42 Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless[e] I drink it, Your will be done.

Matthew 26:44 So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.

James 4:3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

1 John 5:14-15 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us -- whatever we ask -- we know that we have what we asked of him.

Charles Spurgeon “When God does not answer His children according to the letter, He does so according to the spirit. If thou askest for coarse meal, wilt thou be angered because He gives thee the finest flour?”

When Jesus asked for the cup be removed and God insisted on obedience, God did exceedingly and above his request by giving him the power over death, for he went into Hades and made a public spectacle of the devil by his resurrection and today because he humbled himself in obedience, God has given him a name above every other name on earth and in heaven.

***Prayer does not change the heart of God but helps change circumstances. ***

Hebrew 5:7 (NLT) During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.

***Obedience is key***

Prayer enhances our faith and builds our confidence in His ability to do all things, and sometimes prayer needs to be supported by fasting as Matthew 17: 21

• He avoided distraction by having quite moments away from people- Luke 5: 16
• He knew when and how to be persistent- Matthew 26:44
• He knew when to pray communally- Matthew 18:19; Luke 9:28 ; Matthew 17:1; Mark 9:2
• He knew the heart of worship- Matthew 18: 20
• The temple is a house of prayer- Mark 11:17
• The key to Prayer is the Holy Spirit- Luke 3: 21-22; Matthew 3:16; Romans 8:26-27
• Prayer needs support by Fasting- Matthew 17:21
• Jesus offered all night prayer- Luke 6:12
• He prayed in the early morning-Mark 1: 35
• He gives thanks to the Father- Matthew 11:25
• He Prayed before and after every ministration- Luke 6: 12-13; Matthew 14:23; Mark 6:46
• He prayed before confronting issues- Luke 9:18
• Jesus Prayed before eating-Matthew 14:19; Luke 24:30-31

***The Holy Spirit is needed for Spiritual Communication***

From the above we might observe that Jesus was given to praying constantly and at times persistently with the view to be in fellowship with the Father and getting directions from him and this in itself should give us insight to the importance of prayer in our lives and nothing is too minute to bring to the Father. He is a relational God and expect us to fellowship with Him daily.

Prayer is not always about asking but it can be moments of being in His presence and soaking up the atmosphere of His presence.

1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Yonggi Cho was a man of prayer and he had an effective prayer structured life in the form of praying through a symbolic Tabernacle which takes three hours of prayer time daily. We can steadily build a prayer time of at least an hour daily as Jesus questioned His disciples at the Garden of Gethsemane why they could not keep awake with him just for one hour.

We will continue keeping you in our prayers as Prophet Samuel did for his people "Far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you." (1 Samuel 12:23)

December 2016: A month of sombre reflection and uncommon Favour

As we look back onto the wondrous work of your hands and count your blessings and your kindness in the months gone by (Psalm 40: 4-5) and look at your servanthood (John 13: 1-17). Your preference to serve rather than to be served (Matthew 20: 25-25).

May these reflection of your true self be mirrored reflection I see of myself and let the understanding of the grace of serving bring about my blessed assurance in You.

In serving you receive uncommon favour and blessing in the Kingdom (Luke 22:28-30).Be diligent in serving and let the grace in this season bless the works of your hand in Jesus name.

May the Lord of harvest and seasons give you abundance of grace, may his face shine upon you and his countenance rest with you and may his glory radiate within you and stay with you in Jesus mighty name. Amen

Staying Focus on the Cross in a Storm

Important: There are four major kinds of storms mainly Natural storm (1 Corinthians 10: 13), Demonic Opposition (1 kings 19:2-3) Self-inflicted Storms usually caused by disobedience to God (1 Samuel 15: 7-26) Test of Faith (Job and Jesus: Hebrew 4:14-16)

Our reactions varies, Jesus when faced with the storm of life which was the assignment of God to redeem the world focused on the father by the power of the Holy Spirit. But most people panic and forget who they are in Christ.

John 14: 27 Peace I leave with you; Peace I give to you. I do not give you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid.

Timing is key, Trust is key, ability to focus on the cross is key, for the Lord has given us all the resources we need within us to deal with issues of life. We cannot look the things we see but we have to focus on the cross and God to enable us overcome the storm. Jesus on the Cross represent the finished work of God and He bore all for our sake.

Today I pray Isaiah 55: 12 into your life; You will go out with Joy and be led forth in peace, the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

I rebuke every wind of confusion in your life, every wind that causes you to panic, worry, depressed, to be anxious, that causes ill health, which troubles your mind, body and soul in the name of Jesus Christ. For Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

I decree that the peace of God that transcends all understanding calm every situation that affects your glory in Christ Jesus not to burst from within you be still from this moment.

Worship in Spirit and Truth

***Whatever God calls a man to do, He enables and empowers him but retain his right to freewill***
***Obedience is a key***

Note: God will not demand sacrifice of you of which he had not made provision for and so in giving back we are showing gratitude and appreciation to the great provision of Jehovah Nissi, this can be seen in the order of creation, before God created man, he made abundant provision on earth. (See Genesis 1: 1-28).

In Genesis 14: 18 we also noted that Abram also paid tithe through Melchizedek king of Salem, the high Priest of the most high God after he had been successful in a battle to save his cousin Lot.

Deuteronomy 8:18 And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day

Deuteronomy 8: 7-10 For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper. When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you.

The Lord will only require of you from His abundance of Provision for You and your sacrifices of Tithing is from that which you have recieved as an income. Honour is due to whom honour is worthy of.

Haggai 2:8 ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts.

Today I pray you truly receive the Spirit of obedience and worship in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen

Worship El-Shaddai

***Tithing is an Act of Worship; Worship is a Key ***

Now: Because of Adams disobedience to God, He lost dominion of the earth to Satan which meant Satan became the ruler of the earth and in order for God to continue in relationship with Adam and protect him, there was a need to appease God through designated sacrifice which without it, God could not intervene in the earth realm.

It became necessary that Adam after tilling the land had to offer sacrifices to God and one of this was the tithe, which represented one tenth of his harvest and this principle was what he passed on to Cain and Abel (See Genesis 4:2-4; Genesis 14:18-20).

But despite Cain awareness of God’s requirement, he still transgressed and offered profane sacrifice to the Lord and unfortunately most of us still do this by not following what the Lord prescribed as tithe offering but yet we expect the best from God.

Luke 4: 5-7 Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”

Note: Satan also knows the importance of worship and demands such from every of his followers.

I Pray today that you will choose to worship and honour God through the grace in Jesus Christ. Amen

Kingdom Keys

***Keys are important***

We as Christian are always craving for the blessings of God in our lives, but most of us fail to seek the Lord for directions for the necessary keys needed to open the doors of kingdom blessings.

We tend to forget the words of our Lord Jesus concerning the mysteries of the kingdom, that we need kingdom keys.

***Doors cannot open unless we use the right keys.***

November 2016: Month of Divine Visitation

This month may you not miss your divine visitation? For after every divine visitation, there comes a prophecy and a miracle. May the Lord open the book of remembrance to you as the King did unto Mordecai.

This month I pray that as Abraham received divine visitation and Sarah conceived a son and God fulfilled His promise to him to make him a father of many nation, may you receive divine visitation to bring you into your place of destiny in Jesus name. Amen

SEPTEMBER- OCTOBER 2016: Make me Know the Father’s Love

Most people sometimes get their first impression of God through their relationship with their earthly father and quite often than not they tend to relate to God in the same manner as they do with their father.

A person that had a poor relationship with his/her earthly father often finds it difficult to understand or appreciate the Fatherhood of God or the outpouring of love by God. Love expressed by us are emotional and sometimes egocentric but the love of God is self-sacrificing and agape in nature. It is a love that is not stem from a need to promote one self.

Note: At the Baptism of Jesus, God expressed His love to His son and called Him my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. This was an introduction to the Fatherhood of God and of His love.

The Jews had always known God by the various revelations of His character and as such accorded names to Him such as Yahweh, Adonai, El Shaddai, Elohim, Jehovah, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Tsidkenu, Jehovah Shalom, and many others, but they were unable to fathom God as a Father .

This can explain why throughout their Journey from Egypt to the Promised Land, they never felt the urge to know or see Him personally and were contended to have Moses, Joshua acting as their intermediaries. And their lack of being able to perceive the fatherhood of God made them to commit one of the most enormous crime against Christ.

John 19: 7 The Jews answered him, “we have a law, and according to our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God”

Important: But the advent of Christ was to introduce God as a Father, a loving Father and a relational Father. And all through His ministry, He pointed direction to God as the Father and the fact that the only way to the Father was through Him. God is the beginning of all Fatherhood and this revelation of God the creator of the universe as a Father is hard for some people to fathom and so they either discard this or believe that it is an illusion of Christianity.

John 5: 17-18 But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God

We must have an understanding of the fact that the make-up of our human entity is the Spirit, body and soul and our Spirit man has God’s DNA.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created He them.

Ephesians 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all and in you all

The Fatherhood of God is an important and integral part of His person and His relationship with us and this is an important key to Jesus’s ministry as seen in John 17, he made mention of the name Father six times and the teaching of the disciples on prayer was to the Father.

James 1: 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

John 17: 25-26 O’ Righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known you; and these have known You sent me. And I have declared to them your name, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them.

Many can be men, husbands or dads but not all can be classified as fathers. Although a father is known to bring about life but not all that fathered a child can really be called a Father as fatherhood has its own responsibilities.

In looking at the Fatherhood of God, we can attribute the under listed characteristics to a Father.

A father gives life, he is kind, gentle, compassionate and long-suffering, slow to anger, reprove in love, personifies love, and demonstrates his goodness and love first. He is gracious and merciful, he is just and feels the pain of his children, considerate and carries his family along with his plans. He shoulders responsibility and protects his family and looks out for the prosperity of His family.

John 5: 19-20. Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.

A father has authority but he is not authoritative, this is why we as humans has freewill, God has not impose his being on us and this freewill led to the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. A father is an encourager. A father usually anticipate the needs of his family and makes provision abound. A father is our confidant and gives assurances to him family. A Father embraces family-hood. A father covers his children nakedness and makes no recollection to their sins once forgiven.

The father gives all good things and his plan for his family are always of good and not of evil

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

***A father shows love above all things***

Love is a doing verb, it shows in action and deeds. God demonstrated his love in a very benevolent way and has such gave up a priceless possession that we may be redeemed back to him and He also gave us a precious gift in the form of the Holy Spirit that can guide us into the manner of all truth. The sacrifices a father makes might be painful and costly to him but he makes them for the larger good of the whole family. The Lord did not exercise fear in the death of Christ but exercised the power of resurrection over death. Perfect love cast out fear as 1 John 4: 18

1 John 4: 8-10 …For God is love. In this the love of God was manifested towards us, that he sent His only begotten son… not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His son for the propitiation for our sins.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Apostle Paul expresses Love to be above all things in 1 Corinthians 13: 1-13 and in verses 4-7 says love suffers long and is kind, love does not envy; love does not parade itself; is not puffed up; does behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil, does not rejoice in iniquities but rejoice in the truth; bears all things believes all things, hopes all things endures all things.

The fatherhood of God gives us the capacity to love

1 John 4: 13-16 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

When we begin to relate to God as the Father and appreciate His love, we can then live out the greatest commandment of Christ which is to love God with all your heart, our being and soul and also love our neighbour as ourself and the more we relate to God in this manner there will be a stability both In our spiritual and natural life, we are able to relate to others through the love of God.

Jesus said in John 15:11-12 These things I have spoken to you, that my Joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

Love is the totality of God’s nature. This is beyond someone having love in his heart or ability; it means that He is love personified. God is love.

Ephesians 2: 4-6 But God who is rich in mercy, because of his great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved) and raised us up together, and made us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Important: Your fellowship and your conduct is key and the Christ in you through the Holy Spirit will help you walk in the Father’s Love, do not be like the Jews who rejected him and refuse the love of the father.

John 5: 43-44 I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not receive me….

Jesus wants us to be where he is, For He also confirmed that in the Father’s house there are many mansions. See John 14:2

He ascended to the heaven to the Father so that we can get the benefit of eternal life and the keys are in our obedience and love.

John 20: 17 Jesus said to her “ Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, I am ascending to My father and your Father, and to My God and your God,”

Jesus demonstrated his obedience on the cross and as a follower, we must demonstrate our obedience through the love we show to our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and also to the world that they may truly say you are a reflection of Your Father.

***Love is the heart of the Father***

We pray that as you come to know and walk in the love of the Father that grace may abound towards you in all areas of your life in Jesus name. Amen

Today we are praying for the peace of Africa and her leaders that God will remove the veil of selfishness and self gratification from them and give them a heart to be selfless and compassionate to the people of the continent they serve in Jesus name. Amen

But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

2 Timothy 4: 17-18 But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!

October 2016:A month of Justification and Right standing with God.

May the Spirit of God justify you and declare your victory over every issue that has held you down.

May He qualify you this month for an unexpected testimony and give you assurance in your time of uncertainty and bring you to a place of glory and honour through the grace in Christ Jesus. Amen

We are Praying

Today we are praying for women that at various points in their lives have committed abortion, that the Lord will bring then into a place of repentance and forgive them.
That they may also find it in their heart to forgive themselves as well.

That those women still being traumatised due to the process of abortion, That the power in the blood of Christ release them from self bondage and bring them into a place of peace and tranquility through the knowledge of the love of Jehovah the Father.

Also praying that any woman that is faced with such issue of abortion should receive grace to do the right thing knowing the love of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit to guide their heart. Amen

Signs, Wonders and Miracles are not a function of your office but are gifts given by the Holy Spirit to all (believers) according to what He purposed to do within the body of Christ for the edification of the church.

John 10: 41 Then many came to Him and said "John performed no Sign, but all the things that John spoke about this man were true"

Mark 16: 17-18 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Prayer for Today

Today we are praying for the peace of Congo and asking that God will take authority and resources away from those financing the destruction of His people for their gross profit.

That there should be a supernatural shift in the atmosphere to preserve the natural resources for the people of the land and a true empowerment of the indigenes through the grace in Christ Jesus. Amen

Today receive the grace to arise and shine through the glory in Christ Jesus. Know that you are already anointed for signs and wonders through the glory in Christ Jesus. Believe in Him and exercise your rights through the Holy Spirit and it shall be well with you always. Shalom Shalom.

Praying For a Nation

Praying for a nation where the majority of those that are in the corridors of power source their wealth through connection with the ruler of darkness of this World.

2 Corinthians 4:4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Note: When there is no purity in your quest for wealth, you cannot have compassion for your fellow human being. For a selfish heart cannot relate to the pains of others around him.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Today I pray that the Spirit of God will touch each and every heart in the nation and give light to souls of those blinded by the god of this world and remove the veil of darkness upon the nation in Jesus name. Amen

JULY- AUGUST 2016: Receiving and Understanding the Gifts of the Spirit

Gift can be defined to be a thing that is willingly given to someone without any perquisite for payment or a need for services to be rendered. You can have an ability to carry out a task effortlessly, that is termed a natural gift but in the Spiritual realm it is a Supernatural ability to do something that is supernatural. Both can be associated to God the Father.

The Giver
Spiritual gifts are given by the Holy Spirit, Jesus departed the world assuring us that He would send the Holy Spirit in His likeness to us as our counsellor, comforter and teacher. He is to bring us into remembrance of all things he taught and also to bring us closer to God, which is to help us in our intimate relationship with the Father.

***1 Corinthians 12:11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit and he gives them to each one, just as he determines***

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

From the Father, these gifts are freely given to us through the Holy Spirit according to what He purposed for us to do within the body of Christ.

To Whom

To all Believers- For those that will receive from God must first believe that He exists and He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. There must be a relationship to benefit from the kingdom’s gifts. From the time of the first apostles when they tarried at the upper room at Jerusalem and received the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We as believers and disciples are being baptised into the Holy Spirit and this helps with our walk with God.

The chosen and elects of God, those that are called according to His purpose and are willing and obedient to the Calling. Those that are aware of their royal calling and are willing to align to the purpose of bringing the kingdom to earth. (See 1 Corinthians 1:26; Romans 8: 14-17, 28-29; 1 Timothy 1:9)

Ephesians 1:4 Just as he chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.

Romans 8:30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. (Read also 1 Peter 2: 9-10; 1 John 4:13, 15)

What is required of us to Receive the Gifts?
Even as parents, we sometimes give gifts based on Occasional criteria such as birthdays, anniversaries, and special reasons or how impressed we are concerning our children’s behaviour or individuals’ attitude to us. We might give also as a way of motivation or encouragement. There is a stirring in us to do something for that person without a request put forward by them.

When we begin our walk with God, the Holy Spirit can also be stirred up to give gifts by us presenting our body holy and as an acceptable sacrifice to the living God. This we do by daily seeking to know Him and walking in His commandments through prayers and fasting. Also when we are rightly dividing the word according to the leading of the Spirit, mediating and studying the word day and night.

Joshua 1:8 This book of law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall mediate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your ways prosperous and then you will have good success. (Read also 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 1:1-3)

Obedience is essential to receiving the gifts and it is paramount that we strive to emulate our Lord Jesus Christ in all our deeds and in doing this, we will experience a great manifestation of the gifts. For our character will make us flourish better when we receive the gifts. (See 1 Peter 2:12; 1 Peter 4:1-3)

• Romans 12:11 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

• Renewal of the mind- Romans 12:2
• Humbleness- Romans 12: 3,16; 1 Peter 5:6
• Do not be puffed up- 1 Corinthians 4:6
• Saying no to ungodliness- Titus 2: 11-13
• Love never fails- 1 Corinthians 13: 8-13
• A need to strive in the fruit of the Spirit- Galatians 5: 22-23

Ephesians 3: 17-19 So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge- that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. (See Ephesians 5: 1-2; Philippians 1:27)
Galatians 6:8 For he who sows to his flesh will of flesh will of the flesh corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Purpose of the Gift
Most of us have a wrong conception of these spiritual gifts in us and so we tend to personalise and profit from them without fulfilling God’s original purpose for these gifts in us. Sometimes we abuse these gifts because we are not appreciative that it is solely for the benefit of the body of Christ which is the Church.
In the great Commission in Mark 16: 15-18, Our Lord Jesus Christ made mention that it is to help with our calling in doing the work of the kingdom. To demonstrate the power of God to the unbelievers so that they may come to the knowledge of Him and it is also to help the Church function as a full body of Christ.

***1 Corinthians 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all***

• This is also for our service to the Father- Romans 12: 11-13; 1 Corinthians 1: 29-31
• Blessing others even those we consider our enemies- Roman 12:14, 17-18
• To know the mind of God spiritually- 1 Corinthians 2:10, 16
• To help with teaching the word of God and presenting the gospel without change- 1 Corinthians 2: 13; 1 Corinthians 9: 1, 8
• To help with our conduct with the brethren and shun evil- Romans 12: 9-10

***To deliver us from the way of evil***

1 Corinthians 14: 12 Even so you, since you are zealous for the Spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the Church that you seek to excel.

It is for the body of Christ, making it complete, to strengthen it, to feed it, exhortation, encouragement, to have the body of Christ empowered to do the work of Christ, and it is for the purpose of adding to the Church. (See Acts 2:37-39, 46-47, Acts 5:14)

• To bring into remembrance all things of God- 1 Peter 4:10-11
• It is not for vengeance- Romans 12: 19-21
• It does not give automatic rights to the office of the Apostle, Prophet, Pastor, Teacher or Evangelist.

The Gifts
1 Corinthians 2:16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord. That he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.
There are various gifts from the Holy Spirit but most notably of these can be found in 1 Corinthians 12: 4-11, where Apostle Paul listed nine, which is treated below and these nine gifts can be classified into three categories mainly prophecy, exhortation and ministration. Some of these gifts can be identified in Romans 12:4-13.

1. Wisdom
This is the ability to make decision and give guidance according to the will of God, it can be classify as the application of knowledge and giving directions accordingly. The bible makes us understand that the beginning of wisdom is to fear God, this simply mean we have reverence and stand in awe of Him, loving his words and adhering to it. It states that all who follow His precepts have good understanding.

***wisdom is the principal thing, in all your getting, get wisdom***

James 1: 5 if any lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given

James 3:17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy

• God gives wisdom- Proverbs 2: 6,7
• Wisdom is desirable- James 3: 13-17
• Wisdom is the principal thing- Acts 6:3
• Solomon reigned in peace through wisdom- 1 Kings 3:12
• Wisdom gives discretion to the heart- Proverbs 2:10-11

2. Word of Knowledge
This is the ability to have an in-depth information of spiritual matter, the ability to have information of ways of God through the scripture or information concerning the intent of God or situation. Having information concerning a thing and not making use of it makes the information useless.
• Spiritual Information concerning a situation- Acts 5:4; Acts 10:44
• Jesus at the well – John 4: 16-19
• Words- Acts 2:14, 22-23

3. Spirit of Faith
This is a strong conviction in God, ability to trust God and encourage others to trust God. People are said to have faith when they stand strong on their word and they don’t weaver on this no matter the situation. Jesus commended on the centurion’s faith because he believed and accepted that the word of Jesus was enough to heal. It must be noted that Christ is always looking out for the believer’s faith in carrying out any healing. In the book of Daniel, we can also observe such faith in Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in Chapter 3.

• Faith definition- Hebrew 11: 1
• Faith has no respect for challenges- Acts 6:5, 8
• There is a measure of faith- Romans 12:3
• Even prophecy is according to faith- Romans 12:6
• Strong conviction- Romans 4:21

4. Gift of Healing
This is miraculous ability to use God’s healing power to restore a person who is sick, injured or suffering, this could be through prayers or the power, God deposited into a person to touch or command healing. Jesus had that ability and promised that through the Holy Spirit we are able to do the same. Some examples of healing can be found in Mark 1: 29-31; Luke 5: 12-14


• God is the healer and all attributes must be accorded to Him- Acts 4:30
• Jesus healing- Luke 7:7-10; Mark 5: 25-29; Luke 5: 19-22; Mark 5:2-13, 3:5; Luke 8:2; Matthew 4:23
• Peter’s shadow was able to heal- Act 5: 15-16
• Paul demonstrated the power of healing through handkerchiefs- Act 19: 11-12
• Healing through prayers- James 5:16

5. Works of Miracle
This is the ability to perform sign and wonders that gives authenticity to God’s word and the message of the gospel. In the great commission, our Lord Jesus said that signs and wonders shall accompany the believers to do the work of the Father so that unbelievers may see and believe in the gospel and this is to confirm that they were truly sent by Him.
Miracle is an unusual event or an impossible change to a circumstances or an unexplainable situation which defiles all logical/reasonable or rational thinking which is prompted to happen to us or someone else but the visual transformation can be seen but remains a mystery to the mind. As the saying goes “it can only be by God’s intervention”

• The parting of river Jordan- Joshua 3: 15-16
• Raising of the dead- 1 Kings 17: 21-24; Mark 5: 35-42; John 11: 40-44
• Jesus raised from death-Mark 16: 1-8
• The birth of Isaac- Genesis 21: 1-4
• The birth of Samuel- 1 Samuel 1: 11-20
• Miraculous provision- Exodus 16 ; 1 kings 17:6, 13-16
• Various Miracles concerning nature- 1 kings 17: 1; 1 kings 18: 38-39; James 5: 17; Joshua 10: 12-14
• Water into wine- John 2: 7-9
• Stopping the wind- Mark 4: 39
• The feeding of Multitude- Mark 8: 1-9
• Special Strength- 1 Kings 18: 45-46

6. Prophecy
Joel 2: 28 And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and daughters shall prophesy….
This is the ability to proclaim a message from God, this is saying the heart of God concerning a nation, Church, Cooperate body, family or person.

The two earliest Hebrew words for the prophet are hozeh and to’eh which simply means seer. Nabi is also another word used which means “one called”

It is also the revelation of the secret of the heart of an unbeliever that might come to fellowship with the church as explained by Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 14: 24-25 but if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an uninformed person comes in, he is convinced by all, he is convicted by all, and thus the secrets of his heart are revealed: and so falling on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you. (See also 1 Corinthians 14: 1-4)

Preaching and teaching which are associated with speaking the word with a passion for the lost and believers, prophesy tends to flow from the preacher or the teacher while under the influence of the Holy Spirit even when they do not hold the office of the prophet.
1 Corinthians 2:16 For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.

• Jesus operated in the ministry as a prophet- John 4: 16-19
• There is a need for orderliness- 1 Corinthians 14: 29-33
• Prophetic evangelism- Acts 13: 1-3; Acts 16: 6-10
• Various prophetic ministration- Acts 21: 10-11;

1 Corinthians 14: 3 But he who prophesies speaks deification and exhortation and comforts men.

Some Prophets in the Bible- Abraham, Moses, Samuel, Elijah, Elisha, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos,, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Zechariah, Malachi, John the Baptist, Apostle John, Apostle Paul, Stephen the Martyr

7. Discerning of Spirit
This is the ability to identify what the scripture is saying, knowing the spirit of the word. Ability to determine whether or not a message, person or event is truly of God.
It is also an ability to distinguish between two things through the Holy Spirit, being able to identify and label something correctly without foreknowledge.

• Jesus discernment of the Samarian woman relationship- John 4: 16-19
• Peter was able to discern a situation- Acts 5: 1-10
• Paul’s discernment of a spirit- Acts 16: 16-19


Be Aware: Evil spirit can also discern and can parade as an angel light that is while Jesus warned that we should be alert at all time and be on guard to be able to know the wolves in sheep’s clothing. (See Mark 13:21; Matthew 7: 15-23; 2Corinthians 11: 14-15)

8. Different types of Tongues
Ability to speak languages other than one’s native tongue by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. This can be divided into explicable and inexplicable tongues or languages. “glossa” is the Greek word for tongues while “dialektos” means dialects.

Explicable tongues are audible languages (dialects) which can easily be understood by another person that the message is being directed to- Acts 2:1-4; Acts 10:45-46; Acts 2:11

The inexplicable tongues is where the utterances of the voice is unknown to the speaker or anyone near him/her, this is a spiritual communication between man and God. This can be classify as a gift for exhortation which the mystery of words are known only to the Holy Spirit within the speaker and the Almighty Father. It is totally dependent on Holy Spirit- Romans 8: 26-29

9. Interpretation of Tongues
An inspiration through the Holy Spirit to interpret/reply to a language or to a tongue that is not of one’s own native language. Having an understanding and accurate knowledge of the language under the influence of the Holy Spirit.

This applies to both the explicable and inexplicable tongues.

Other Gifts
There are other gifts which were not directly listed above but nevertheless they are gifts from the Holy Spirit such as the Spirit of Giving,- Acts 15:26, Spirit of Mercy, Spirit of Serving, Spirit of patience, Spirit of Administration, Spirit of Encouragement, -Acts 4:36, Spirit of Leadership, Spirit of Diligence ……..

Note: Romans 8:14 For as many are led by the Spirit of God, these are the Children of God.
Sometimes, we might not be able to distinguish our gifts or calling but if we let the Holy Spirit lead us always we will know it or others might be directed by the Holy Spirit to make it known to us. It is advisable that when we are choosing a profession or course that we seek the face of the Lord through the Holy Spirit concerning this, as He will be able to guide us into a position that we will best flourish and make the best possible impact.

Desire the Gifts and Stir it up.
We can desire and pray for these gifts and through the grace of the Holy Spirit we can receive such if we do not already have them.
• Desire Spiritual gifts- 1 Corinthians 14: 1
• Desire earnestly to prophesy- 1 Corinthians 14: 39
• Do not quench the Spirit- 1 Thessalonians 5: 19
• Do not neglect the gifts that is you- 1 Timothy 4:14
• Stir up the gifts that is you- 2 Timothy 1: 6,
• Go to places where the word of God is spoken- Acts 10: 44-46; Acts 20:32
• Pray for it- Acts 4: 29-31

Now: May the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen

Today Know that there is no banking holiday in God's Kingdom. So I write this cheque of grace, favour, mercy, blessing, glory and honour that you may have abundance of the riches in Christ Jesus. Amen. It is cashable straight away as you accept, receive and proclaim it. Have a God's determined week in Jesus name. Amen

Season of Good Success

Our success in this season in linked to our obedience to the Word and faith in God.
Observing the commandment and Word making sure we are disciplined by it is key to our abundant success in every sphere of our lives
The Lord is bringing His word to pass, which is to bring you into your land of cannan flowing with milk and honey.

You shall be liken to a tree planted by the river that brings forth its fruits in it's season and it's leaves never wither.

Today: Mercy will speak for you, His compassion will locate you and God's grace shall uplift you.

The Dews of his blessing shall rest upon you and your expectations shall be fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Amen

Blind Baltimaeus cried out and Jesus brought light and sight into his situation. Today receive that grace of victory into every situation that has affected your life negatively. Claim it and so shall it be. Amen

June 2016: Faith Clinic: Gates and Altars: Breaking the Chains off Your Neck

Note: Beloved, it is time for Christians to wake up from what is called “Satanic Slumber”. Unless we storm the camp of the enemy and plunder his gates and bring him to submission, it will be impossible to enjoy all our benefits. If we do not become spiritually violent, the sons of disobedience will take over our benefits. If you are familiar with the bible by reading it, you will find out that gates are made for cities to connote, Entrances (1king17) or for houses (Luke 16) or Temples (Acts 3) Prisons (Acts 12) Camps (Ex 32), Beaches/River bank (Nahum 2) or Palaces (Esther 5).

There are many symbols in the Bible and you will find out that the chief places where important decisions are taken, are the gates of cities. Sometimes, they also function as courts of justice. When people want to sell or buy land, it is at the gates you will find them.

General proclamations are made at the gates; the council running the city meets there and conferences are held there too. Public condemnation of people is made at this point and when the enemy wants to attack a city, the area of concentration is the gate that is why experienced officers are placed there. Also, idolatrous people perform their rites there. Criminals are punished there. Gates are shut at night.

Acts 9: 23-24 After many days had gone by, there was a conspiracy among the Jews to kill him, but Saul learned of their plan. Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him

WHAT IS A GATE?
Spiritually, it is the meeting place of the wicked spirits and men. It is an assembly ground where decisions and deliberations are made, where information is passed and action is taken. It is a place of satanic assembly, a house of satanic parliament where wickedness and destruction are planned and the devil assembles his demons and territorial for wicked purposes.

It also regulates entrance and exit into and out of a city.
It determines what time people can or cannot come in.
A gate is the totality of the government and socio-economic life of a city. In the spirit, it has a very heavy meaning


The altars and the stubborn gates have done more damage than the more pronounced witchcraft. This is because believers concentrate more on witchcraft, thereby languishing in ignorance over the source of their “legal” operations .The three strongholds (foundation, Altar and Gates) have turned destinies upside-down, countless souls have been buried and many opportunities lost by the believers as the three working in agreement tend to speak on their behalf, act on their behalf and conclude their assignments of doom also on their behalf. The believers, the born again, the righteous all suffer from the activities of these evil kings.

***“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting” [Mathew 17; 21] ***

Prayer is the Key for Warfare
As prayer warriors, we are going to tackle each strong hold and destroy them to the glory of God. We must do this on the authority in the name and blood of Jesus Christ For behold” He has given me [empowers me] authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the powers of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you” Luke 10; 19.
ALTARS. .It is not sufficient for people to carry the bible and walk along the streets as children of God or born again if they have had anything to do with the altars of the devil, it is imperative that all association are denounced and renounced by the power in the Blood of Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost.

1. In the name of Jesus who paid my price at the cross of Calvary, I boldly break every link or contact I have ever had with the demonic world through the altars.
2. Every altar carrying out instructions from my evil foundations to hinder me, be set ablaze in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
3. It is the Lord that has given me power to make wealth, I therefore paralyse and destroy every altar and their spells working against my finance and good living in the name of Jesus. Duet 28; 12,
4. Any stone, and or abnormality, programmed into my spirit, soul and body by the occultic altars be completely destroyed and evacuated in the name of Jesus.
5. Oh Lord, I stand on your word and the authority in the name of Jesus to command the withdrawal all my virtues locked up in the evil altars. Let these virtues come out in the name of Jesus.
6. Let this be known to the altars that I am drunk with the blood of Jesus and have swallowed the fire of the God to purge my system clean. My system is clean in the name of Jesus.
7. Every mountain created by the evil altars, be levelled, in the name of Jesus.

THE GATES.. Gates are being built and locked against the children of God by the activities of unfriendly friends and the altars and the foundations releasing family secrets to them. I thank God as I pray these prayers, the gates of brass and bars of iron will be cut into pieces by the God that answered by fire.

1. Lord I want to show forth your praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion, I will rejoice in thy salvation, I reject any other voice speaking the contrary in the name of Jesus.[Psalm 9;14]
2. Every gate of the enemy anchoring bondage in my life be uprooted mercilessly by the Holy Ghost fire in the mane of Jesus.
3. Let the gate anchoring stubborn problems in my life loose their foundations in the name of Jesus.
4. Let all the unseen gates working mischief in my life, be revealed and uprooted by the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus.
5. Lift up your heads, O ye gates, and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors for the king of glory shall come in. [Psalm 24; 7]—Every gate challenging the entrance of the word of God in my life must now be lifted up in the name of Jesus.
6. I uproot and throw out of my life the gates promoting hell in my life, the gates of forgiveness, the gates of prayerlessness, bitterness, anger, malice, lying, stealing, poverty, etc.
7. Oh Lord, I stand on the word of God to command the demolition of all the satanic gates. I embrace your gates which makes me inaccessible, untouchable and unpenetratable to both household of wickedness and other forms of evil activities promoted by my evil foundation, altars and the gates


Psalm 118; 19 OPEN TO ME THE GATES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, I WILL GO INTO THEM AND I WILL PRAISE THE LORD.

From this moment May you begin to experience favours and blessing, all things that has been held stagnated in your lives begin to flow and flourish to the glory of God. Every possession you have lost, May YHWH begin to quicken in the restoration process and may you recover all a thousand fold to the shame of your enemies in Jesus Name

Prayers for health

1. Let there be a divine spiritual reversal of all the damages inflicted on my blood in the name of Jesus.
2. Any evil blood that has mixed with my own blood, be separated now by the blood of Jesus.
3. Any evil word programmed into my blood, be cancelled by the power in the blood of Jesus.
4. O Lord, release your healing enzymes to repair every internal damage I’ve suffered in Jesus’ name.
5. Let my blood receive the touch of fire now in the name of Jesus.
6. Let my body cells receive the fire of God now in the name of Jesus.
7. I reject every satanic instruction targeted against my blood in the name of Jesus.
8. Every evil voice of accusation speaking against my blood, be silenced in the name of Jesus.
9. Let every handwriting of darkness against my life be wiped away by the blood of Jesus.
10. Every handwriting of death and hell against my life and family, be consumed by the fire of the Living God in Jesus’ name.
11. Every satanic arrow circulating in my body, be arrested and be evacuated by the word of the Lord in Jesus’ name.
12. My DNA, refuse to transmit any evil instruction from this day forward in Jesus’ name.

9. Agents of darkness gathered against me in the waters, be arrested and be bound by the naval angels of the Lord in Jesus’ name.
10. Evil gates in the waters standing against my destiny, catch fire and burn to ashes in the name of Jesus.
11. I use the key of David, I open the storehouses under the waters and I release my portion by fire in the name of Jesus.
12. I command my blessings to hear the word of the Lord: Jump out of captivity and locate me now in the name of Jesus.
13. Thou Lazarus of my destiny detained in the waters, hear the word of the Lord: Come forth now in the mighty name of Jesus.
14. I loosen my blessings from the evil chains of captivity in Jesus’ name

Fathers Day

Today: I decree the joy of Fatherhood into your life and I call forth the glory embedded in you for the father the Lord wants us to be to burst out like spring of living water in each one of us to the glory of God the Father.
May the Lord equip each and everyone with the grace of being the King, Prophet and Priest of the family.
May the Father of all fathers grant us the ability to put family first in all that we do and establish peace love unity for each and everyone in Jesus Christ name. Amen

June 2016: Crossover from Cross Road to God’s fulfilment and Purpose for your Life

I will take you by your Hand and lift you up, I will lead you out of your wilderness to a place which I have specially prepared for you and give you rest. Says the Lord in this season.

Trust is key to taking hold of the Lord’s hand and believe totally on His words. Today I pray Faith and believe for you to crossover into your place of destiny and peace in God. I pray that your Glory shall burst forth from within you and you shall testify to a change in your situation to the glory of Christ Jesus. Receive Believe and Testify.

Joshua 1: 11 "Pass through the midst of the camp and command the people, saying, 'Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you are to cross this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you, to possess it”.

Deuteronomy 11:31 "For you are about to cross the Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you, and you shall possess it and live in it

Bear in Mind: The first call of any Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Teacher or pastor is a calling to minister which literally means to be a servant. It is a calling to serve. Let your light so shine that you can actually be a blessing to many through the grace in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
The gifts and the calling is to Equip the saints so that they can make a difference in their place of calling.

April -May 2016: Immanuel; We Pray Your Presence Remain With Us

When God chooses to walk with us, this will be periodical but when his presence remains with us, then we are constantly under grace coverage and all that we do seems effortless because he overshadows all your affairs and prosper our ways.

First of all we need to know the ways of God: Make me know Thy ways, O LORD; Teach me Thy paths. Lead me in Thy truth and teach me, For Thou art the God of my salvation; For Thee I wait all the day. Remember, O LORD, Thy compassion and Thy loving kindnesses, for they have been from of old (Ps. 25:4-6; read also Psalm 1: 1-3)

In the beginning God also made His rules of fellowship known to Adam and periodically He came down to walk with Adam until He fell from grace due to sin of disobedience.

Imbedded sin contributes to reasons why we may not be experiencing God’s presence, so we need to confess our sins and acknowledge the Lordship of Christ Jesus before we can come to a place of rest in God.
God promises to hear and forgive those who come into his presence with humble repentance (2 Chronicles 7:14; Psalm 51).

***Repentance is Key***

Asa and his armies led the triumphant procession back to Jerusalem, a prophet named Azariah met them at the city gate with this message from God: "Hear ye me, Asa...The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God...But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them" (2 Chronicles 15:1-4). (Read also 2 Chronicles 14:11-12).

The Lord orders the steps of the righteous and He commands his angels to take charge over them (See Psalm 91)

In the presence of God there is fullness of Joy and God does not share His glory with anybody but through the grace in Christ, God’s glory can burst forth from within us. God is omnipresent and that is why we call Him Immanuel. (God with us)

The most common Hebrew term for "presence" is panim, which is also translated "face,” implying a close and personal encounter with the Lord. The Greek word prosopon has the same syntax range.

God's presence is a place where prayer is heard. David sought the Lord's presence when Israel faced a three-year famine (2 Samuel 21:1)

When God’s presence is with us, we have habitual rest and peace in our heart that surpasses all understanding and at that moment we come to a realisation that nothing can shift us from God’s purpose and fulfilment.

Exodus 33:14 And He said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.”

The Hebrew word for "rest" here is "a comfortable, quiet rest." God was saying, "No matter what enemies or trials you face, you'll always be able to find a quiet rest in me!” This brings us into a place where we can bask in His glory and when God is present in our situation we encounter breakthroughs, favours, grace, mercies and all forms of fulfilment even in unusual places and surroundings.

1 Samuel 3:19 Thus Samuel grew and the LORD was with him and let none of his words fail.

Take note:
When Samuel prophesied, The Lord took delight in making sure that all he said came to pass, for he found not only favour with the Lord but the presence of God was visible in His life.

In the presence of God, our enemies are also at peace with us

Deuteronomy 12:10-11. “When you cross the Jordan and live in the land which the LORD your God is giving you to inherit, and He gives you rest from all your enemies around you so that you live in security, then it shall come about that the place in which the LORD your God shall choose for His name to dwell, there you shall bring all that I command you: ...”

The Lord words are yea and amen in Christ Jesus, for He said even in times of trouble I shall never leave nor forsake you, He makes even your enemies to be at peace with you but not only that, He causes you to overcome and put you in a position to feed them and also their children. Wow what a Great God we serve.

Genesis 50: 20-21
But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good… Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them

When God presence is with us it calms all our fears as He made known to prophet Isaiah in 43:1-15 "Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the Lord thy God...and I have loved thee...Fear not: for I am with thee..." God was saying, "With my presence abiding with you, you can go through any flood or fire and survive. Yet you won't merely survive. You'll be blessed and favoured through it all, because my presence is with you!"

Daniel 3: 25 “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

The King had no choice but to bow down before God almighty and passed a decree that everyone should worship the Lord our God and instantly gave promotion to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego over the province of Babylon.

When God's Spirit is present with us, we can be strong and courageous - because no enemy can harm us!

"There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of good courage..." (Joshua 1:5-6). God promised, "...they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee..." (Jeremiah 15:20). God was saying, "It doesn't matter if the whole country turns against you, Jeremiah.

"...Abimelech...spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest" (Genesis 21:22). This heathen king was saying, "Abraham, there's something different about you. God guides you, preserves you and blesses you wherever you go!"

God's presence is also a place of blessing and joy. David counted it a joy to experience the Lord's presence (Acts 2:25 Acts 2:28), and Peter described it as the source of blessing for all who place their faith in Christ (Acts 3:19). To experience God's presence is to experience the shining of God's face (Psalm 67:1). In his presence we experience him in the heightening of his reality in our lives.

When God manifests himself or his presence in a fresh new way, stunning things just objectively happens in the world.

Psalm 114:7–8: “Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, who turns the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a spring of water

Now: Jesus has become the intermediary which we can enjoy the Father’s presence via the guidance of the Holy Spirit before the Israelites put their confidence in that visible cloud of God's presence. "Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle" (Exodus 40:34). Like the Israelites who lived under the cloud of God's presence, we're constantly under the covering of God's grace

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14).

John 14:6 Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me

Hebrew 10: 19-22 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith…..

"For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong on the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him..."

When God revealed to Moses all these things about his nature, he also gave him the full revelation that he "...will by no means clear the guilty..." (Exodus 34:7). Azariah prophesied to King Asa in his most prosperous hour, "If you despise God's glory - if you excuse your sin and neglect the Lord - he will not cleanse you!" "...The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you" (2 Chronicles 15:2).

When Jesus revealed Himself to the three disciples, God's glory wasn't in Moses or Elijah or in the spectacular light. Rather, his glory was in Jesus: "...his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light...behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him" (Matthew 17:2-6).

God was saying, "Here is my glory personified - in Christ!" Indeed, Jesus is the fulfilment of all God said he was to Moses - gracious, merciful, longsuffering, abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression of sins. And now the Lord was saying, "Here's a living picture of my glory. It is all embodied in my son!"
"...the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints" (Ephesians 1:18). He's saying, "All the glory I revealed to Moses is embodied in my son. And now I have given him to you as your inheritance. You have a right to know him in all his glory!" "In him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily" (Colossians 2:9).

If you have Jesus' presence in your life, you will experience God's divine order. You'll have a peace and a calm, with no fretting or anxiety, no running to and fro to seek guidance, no sense that the bottom is falling out. You'll live at rest, knowing God has everything under control!

Matthew 28:20 teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.”

In the Person of the Holy Spirit, God dwelt not only among His people, but within them. The Holy Spirit thus mediates the presence of God in this age and gives us closeness to God when we allow him to take the leading role in our lives.

1 Corinthians 3:16"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”

God's promises never fail. But some - like the covenant of his presence - are absolutely conditional. They require more than merely our cooperation. Of course, God will never abandon us nor stop loving us. But if we remain in sin, his presence will not be with us - and our lives will no longer be an instrument of his powerful presence. We will be living according to the flesh - striving, floundering, with no power or guidance!

In the age to come, God's presence will be the ultimate blessing, for believers will see him face to face (1 John 3:2). His immediate presence will render a temple unnecessary (Rev 21:22). It is the anticipation of this presence that should motivate
Christians to faithful service in this present age (1 Thess 2:19; 2 Peter 3:10-11).

Believers always live in God's presence, and he notes all their deeds (Mal 3:16)

May Yahweh; El-shaddi; Immanuel’s presence be felt in all things you do in this season and may His mighty hand deliver you from all adversaries and present you worthy of grace and His glory in Jesus Name. Amen

Genesis 39:2-3 The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand.

Exodus 6: 6-7 ….‘I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

Matthew 28:20 teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.”
