APRIL 2015: Make me Walk in Your Will

We are giving God the Glory for all that He is doing in our lives and we are confident that the Lord has an amazing surprise stored up for you this quarter that will cause you to give an unexpected thanksgiving this year. Remain connected and know that God has the final say in every situation. He has designated and position you for an unmerited blessing and stay under the grace. Amen

Note: People often say in their prayers that “Lord, let your will be done in my life”. But when God begins to mould and probably chastise them to align His will to their prayers, some Christians resist this conformation period because they were only paying lips service rather than truly meaning the words or lack proper understanding of the prayer.

Jesus Christ died on the cross as part of God’s will for the redemption of our sins and if we followed the prayer fully at Gethsemane In verse 42 of the gospel of Luke in chapter 22; He sought that the cup be taken away from him but instantly reverted to the Holy Spirit to fulfil God’s will in accordance to His words stated In Hebrew 10:7 “Behold, I have come to do your will, O’God, as it is written of me in the scroll of the book”. God’s plan was that He would be the sacrificial lamb to save His people and also given a name above all names, and as such He had to fulfil the sacrament on the cross. Only the Holy Spirit can bring the mind of the spirit being in us to a state of conformity to the will of God and understanding of the spiritual wisdom of God.
In 1 Peter 3:17 Peter writes “it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than doing evil”
There is great reward for those who serve God and actually consents to Him to establish their heart to His will and follow through the instruction given to them by the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 92:12-14 [AMP] The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall flourish like the palm tree [be long-lived, stately, upright, useful, and fruitful]; they shall grow like cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable and incorruptible]. Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God. [Growing in Grace] they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap [of spiritual vitality] and [rich in the] verdure [of trust, love, and contentment]

Job 36:11(NKJV) If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasures

Important: In order to fulfil the prayer request, we sometimes forget that there is a need for the transformation of our thought process and attitude so that the remoulded being is fit for purpose and can achieve God’s greater plan for them.
God’s plan for us is always of good and as such if we are trusting Him, we must completely submit to His will and directions through the Holy Spirit for the assurances and promises that He has given us.

***Faith and Obedience are keys***

God desires to lead us in his ways. Which is love, holiness and living a life of purity. Love is benevolent, bountiful, courteous and obliging. Holiness in the highest sense is God’s domain and we as Christians are to consecrate ourselves to God’s service and conform in all things to His will. Purity is the freedom of living without sin and in this we constantly have to be watchful, prayerful and have perseverance.

***Obedience requires humility, sincerity, genuineness, boldness and love***

When we request God’s will, we are simply asking God that we are unable to do things ourselves and we need His intervention to structure and put into effect His grander plans for our lives. It involves us to be repentance and accept our short comings. Firstly God loves a repentant heart and an obedient child. He loves to save us from the grip of sin.

1 Peter 1:14 As Obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance.

We must also be ready and committed to stay the course if we seek God’s purpose for our lives, this requires faith patience, humility and meekness. We can find examples in Daniel [Daniel 1:8], Joshua [Joshua 24:25] and in Jesus Christ Himself.

Philippian 2: 5-8 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, But made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death even the death of the Cross.

Exercising faith is key as demonstrated by the great men such as Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Elijah, and many more as found in the text of Hebrew chapter 11. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego also exercised this faith in the face of great fiery furnace [Daniel 3: 16-25].

Hebrew 11: 1 (AMP) Now Faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the sense].

Affirmation of God’s strength in the times of our weakness is key as demonstrated by Paul, when the Lord revealed to him concerning the thorn of his flesh “In your weakness, I am made strong” and with this he was able to focus on the bigger picture of delivering God’s word through the scripture.
Obedience means we are prepared to learn and have understanding from God’s perspective, we must bear in mind that nothing is taught until something is learnt.

Psalm 143:10 (AMP) Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me into a level country and into the land of the upright.

Hebrew 5:8 Although he was Son, He learned [active, special] obedience through what He suffered.

Proverbs 1:5 A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel.

***Behold, God is exalted by His power, Who teaches like Him? *** (See also 1 Corinthians 2:5)

When we are passionate for the things of God it will accelerate God’s will in our lives as we are more likely to be obedient rather than offering sacrifices of fools as was pointed out to King Saul in 1 Samuel 15: 22-25.
When we appreciate the awesomeness of God, we can easily comply with God’s will for He knows the end from the time of the beginning. Job came into this realization when he spoke in Job 42:2 “I know that you can do everything and no purpose of yours can be withheld from you. (Read further Job 38-39)

2 Chronicles 16:9 (NLT) The eyes of the Lord searches the whole of the earth in order to strengthen those whose heart are fully committed to Him…
God’s will entails that we live a disciplined and dedicated life committing every thought processes to Him, obedience to the calling and striving in every way to be holy through the grace and direction of the Holy Spirit. Seeking first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness and then we can lay claims to the treasures that are added on as children of the true living God. God’s will is for us to abstain from all spiritual uncleanness and habits that might contradict or compromise us. To conform to the teaching of Jesus Christ. (See also Ephesians 4:1-6, Matthew 22:37-39, Mark 12: 29-31)

John 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

Jeremiah 7: 23 But this what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.

When we seek to be renewed in the Spirit then we can easily conform to the will of God and walk the walk of faith and believe as the scripture makes us understand in Ephesians 4:23.

Colossians 3:10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in the knowledge according to the image of Him who created him.

In Conclusion: Walking in the will of God opens the doors of fulfilment, enrichment and abundant blessings. It helps to deal with frustrating situation as you are able to stand on God’s promises and words. It closes the door of satanic attacks. It brings about divine intervention in situation which might ordinarily affect us negatively. Divine destiny can easily be achieved. Walking under the perfect instruction and guidance of God leads us to overcome fear, poverty and lacks in our lives. It establishes a relationship that gives access to the throne of mercy direct and gives us boldness and confidence. It increases us in wisdom, knowledge and understanding in every area of our lives. (Read Luke 5: 1-10, John 2:5-10,Hebrew 11:6, Romans 10: 9-11)

***Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you***

NOW: May the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead… Make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. (Hebrew 13: 20-21)

We love you but know that God loves you most, please note that if you didn’t receive the word for March, this is combined with April and we are believing God for improvement with logistic and timing. Remain highly blessed and know you are counted worthy every day and always in our prayers.
